Khloe Kardashian Gets Fired On Apprentice For DUI
The Donald really shocked not only the remaining Celebrity Apprentice contestants in tonight’s episode but the many fans of Khloe Kardashian by firing her from the show. Even I was shocked and I have been watching The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice through all of its incarnations. I thought for sure that Clint Black, the team leader, would be fired.
Since both teams had failed at the task and there was no winner, Donald told the team leaders consisting of Clint and Melissa Rivers, to come back to the boardroom and bring two of their team members.
(Image of Khloe Kardashian – DailyCeleb.com – All Rights Reserved).
In all fairness Clint thought he would be fired because of the racy nature of the viral video he developed and for all the bickering he had with Joan Rivers. He picked Khloe Kardashian and pro golfer Natalie Gulbis to go back to the Boardroom with him.
Clint told Khloe and Natalie in the hall outside the boardroom that he was sure he would be fired and they would be safe. Khloe didn’t seem so sure and even questioned if she might be fired. Clint didn’t think there was a risk. Obviously he was wrong.
When Clint, Khloe and Natalie were in the boardroom Mr. Trump asked Clint and Natalie if they wanted to continue. They both said they did even though it meant keeping their careers on hold. Then The Donald talked about the fact Khloe had missed part of last week’s episode because she had to fly back to Los Angeles. He told Khloe he had no idea why she had to leave until he saw her upon return and asked her why she was absent. She explained about her Driving Under The Influence (DUI) and her requirement to go to classes. She explained her judge was not happy she had left LA to be on The Celebrity Apprentice.
Donald proceeded to talk about how much he was upset by anyone who drove while under the influence of alcohol. He referenced the problems with Dennis Rodman, who obviously had a drinking issue. He told Khloe that he personally knew families who lost children to someone driving while drunk. He said he supported the mothers who fought to get awareness.
He also asked Khloe what charity she was playing for. She said it was the “The Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Awareness” which Donald discussed with her. Then The Donald said he didn’t want her charity to suffer because of her actions so he was going to donate $20,000 to the charity. He also said if he had known Khloe had the DUI he would not have let her be on the show.
Then he fired her. Which seemed to come out of nowhere and was actually surprising from the viewpoint of why he said she was fired. I did think Khloe was on thin ice and blogged about it after last week’s episode.
In her exit interview in the famous limo the beautiful Khloe (I am a fan) told the cameras “I don’t think Mr. Trump made the right decision. I’m trying to fix something I did wrong. It just sucks that I had to go out this way. I don’t want people to remember this way. But it is what it is. I’m not Donald Trump.”
I agree. Khloe did make a serious mistake of driving under the influence but she has been very repentent about it and has been working hard to turn her life around. I think that is very commendable. It is also praiseworthy that she was playing for a charity dedicated to education about the impact of drugs and alcohol on everyone’s life.

I totally agree. Trump asked Clint Black how many millions of albums he has sold and did he want to leave the show then he asked the female golfer if she wanted to leave. They both stated no. Trump knows that over 20 million country music fans and golfers would have been pissed and shunned the Trump brand. Trump does own a golf resort club and the golfer could be of future financial benefit for him as well as Clint Black.
Clint was a huge failure as project manager and should have been fired but, he and the golfer could further advance Trumps financial success so they unfairly got to stay. Khloe was the only person in Clint’s group that could do the least for Trump. She isn’t very famous..has little fan base and therefore was expendible. Trump is a manipulative, slick, greedy jerk. He’s ruthless and heartless for bringing up a past dui failure of Khloe that was not relevant to the project that Clint screwed up royally. I lost respect for Trump tonight and his brand. Plus, Clint Black promised both women that he would NOT allow either of them to be fired and would take the fall on their behalf. He LIED!!
Finally, Trump inherited over $200 million bucks from daddy and has failed at a bunch of varied businesses. His billionaire status is unproven and he can’t be trusted to tell the truth about his net worth. He’s divorced, filed bankruptcy, arrogant and has a 40′s style combover. His show should have been cancelled a couple years ago but he’s slick and is still hanging on. He won’t get my viewership anymore because of how he kicked Khloe to the curb. I’m a married adult and had no idea who sjhe was (or related to) until recently, so I;m not a teenage fan but Trump really damaged her young life in my opinion and went way overboard in airing her dui dirty laundry when he is a failed human being in my opinion.

Donald Trump stooped to an all time low by firing Khloe. She is making amends with her honesty and she should not be punished for admitting she had a problem. THis kind of shaming makes the problem worse. Khloe is a class act and she deserves an apology.
CLint Black is gross, perverted and Donald clearly acted like a “good ole boy” by his theatrics and firing of a woman in the wake of a man’s inability to deliver on a task. WOW. Donald Trump should be cancelled. He is a greedy business man. I know he exploits his staff with low pay. I know some of the staff members from Trump National Golf Club and he pays very little for management jobs etc..

I have to say just how appalled I am that Donald Trump would stand as anyone’s “Judge and Jury.” Celebrity Apprentice and the premise behind it are that Donald Trump is a successful businessman who knows how to make it and be successful. Therefore, he is deemed “worthy” (and I do use that term lightly – after all, it is so hard to take him seriously) to judge their business skills in the tasks they are charged with performing. That seems reasonable. When it comes to Celebrity Apprentice, however, a new layer is added because these people are generally judged to be successful in their own right in their respective career fields. Thus, a decidedly more entertaining twist is brought to what was considered a Business Contest Show (which is just such an oxymoron in itself). This would lead us to believe that The Donald is capable to gleaning their business acumen, while determining whether or not they are applying those skills toward their already vast arsenals to create: The Most Business Savvy Entertainer. We all know this isn’t possible since we all saw Gene Simmons fired last year and I cannot think of a more business savvy individual. Cut to tonight and this most recent episode. Both teams were charged with creating a viral video for All Small and Mighty Detergent. While I feel that the folks at All clearly don’t know their own demographic very well or what a viral video truly is, I agree that both teams didn’t truly take the client’s desires into consideration. They ended up creating an extremely funny video and one that would have been funny if the original premise could have been pulled off. The execs didn’t like either one and tanked them both. This should have been simple: Clint Black and Melissa Rivers go home. In the spirit of the actual show, I can understand firing Tionne because there had been a precedent set for anyone who volunteered to fall on the knife in the past. However, I take great umbridge with The Donald’s firing of Khloe Kardashian, citing his disdain for the fact that she had received a DUI and he found that to be a foul and loathsome thing since such behavior has been known to cause such distress to families. WOW!! Can you say “The Hypocrite?” I believe that should be his new name. Khloe has taken her DUI arrest very seriously. She has not tried to duck or dodge it in any way. She has taken responsibility, tried her best to educate herself and truly form a life long plan to combat an issue that is very serious – and oh so human. The phrase “there but for the grace of God go I” comes bounding to mind immediately. Mr. Trump lives in New York where public transportation is readily available and utilized way more than personal automobiles. Compound that fact by his wealth and status and you have a man who has a car and driver at his fingertips. Were he to live virtually anywhere else in this country and not be a pampered ass, I would hazard a guess that he would have already racked up quite a few moving violations and likely they would have involved alcohol at some point. One thing is am truly certain of is that Khloe Kardashian did not get into her car that night after drinking and take off in a 2000 pound vehicle knowingly setting out to harm someone. And mind you, I am saying someone, as in a stranger. I am even more confident that, if she had had any inkling that her behavior would harm a loved one, she would rather take her own life than to continue with her actions. Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20. She now clearly sees what COULD have happened. Mind you, I mentioned that I take GREAT UMBRIDGE with his judgment because, if you review Mr. Trump’s past actions, concern for families and their well being have not appeared to be a high priority for him. Even more upsetting is that I am not even talking about strangers….he didn’t even take his own children into consideration when he went out and cheated on his wife with a string of bimbos, some he has even married since. Destroying families seems to be something he knows a lot about. Personal behavior accounting for this destruction comes in many forms and I do not find a man who cheats and lies to be above one who drinks and drives. I’m sure that studies have not been performed, but I would be interested to see how many lives are lost (yes LOST) due to marital infidelity and the resulting consequences vs. those who have driven drunk. I am, in absolutely no way, condoning drinking and driving. Nor do I even think that there should be the teensiest amount of leniency for someone who is convicted of such actions. I do, however, believe that there are far more individuals who drink and drive and do NOT get caught than do. I also believe that those who are caught, for the most part, truly find a path of enlightenment (obviously not all) and understanding for their mistakes. I wonder if Mr. Trump could say the same. So, my message to Khloe is: hold your head up, keep going through your classes, do your community service, pay your fines, speak out and lend your name and voice to the cause and NEVER LOOK BACK. Donald Trump is in your rear view mirror and that’s where most of us like him. There is such a thing as a successful loser and he embodies this. Good luck to you, Khloe. Shame on you, Donald.

I think what Trump did is unconscionable. He may be judge, jury and executioner on The Apprentice, but Khloe’s DUI should not have figured into his decision to fire her. The DUI in no way impacted Khloe’s performance on the task at hand. The Apprentice not be a real work environment, but the violation of the ADA is very real.
April 6th, 2009 at 11:46 am
Khole and the other celebrity – whose name I can’t remember, which goes to prove my point – were fired because they were the weakest “personalities” and The Donald found a convenient excuse to geet rid of both of them. Clint was a egotistical, one-man disaster zone, taking all the credit/blame for his awful video, and he deserved to be fired first. But there are fireworks between Clint and Joan so it makes good television. Trump got very personal with Khloe and she handled it with dignity. Rosie O’Donnell was right about him. He who throws the first stone…
April 6th, 2009 at 12:17 pm
I am glad to see that others were disturbed by Khloe’s firing. The things he said were uncalled for and really disappointed me. Her DUI had nothing to do with the task and I find it surprising that no one affiliated with the show knew about it when they asked her to do the show.
Don’t tell me that Andrew Dice Clay or others that appeared on the show didn’t have any skeletons hanging in their closet. He even put up with Dennis Rodman’s antics for a few weeks when it was apparent that he was acting irresponsible.
I won’t be watching anymore.
April 6th, 2009 at 12:46 pm
Jodie’s comments make no sense to me. First off, Donald Trump has never had a drink before, so I do not think he has had any moving violations that have involved alchohol. Secondly, to blame the transportation system as a reason for a DUI, is really a sorry excuse. Third, I agree that Khloe did not think she was going to kill anyone when she drove drunk. I would assume most drunk drivers do not have the intention of killing another person, but their irresponsible behavior allows it to happen. Next, she does not know how to spell umbrage (which really sucks, because she even capitalized it).
April 6th, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Tony. So Khloe got behind the wheel while intoxicated and risked human lives in the process, and you believe Trump damaged HER life? That seems to be projecting blame in the wrong direction. I for one, am happy to finally see some accountability in this world for these spoiled brats. Instead of Khloe breezing along and fluffing her DUI arrest off of her shoulder like a minor inconvenience, she gets called to the carpet and must answer for herself. Very refreshing.

I agree with Tony. Money acts as a magnifier of who/what you are. Mr. Trump’s character traits, both good/bad are magnified by his net worth. Unfortunately, last night’s episode was a negative reflection of who he is.
April 6th, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Iggy is an idiot. At least I have correct grammer…..one misspelled word during a very emotional blog does not discount the fact that I am right about this. And, the fact that he says Mr. Trump has NEVER had a drink goes to show – IGGY is a bigger IGGIOT than anyone has ever given him credit for. Take a look back at the VAST photographed history of Mr. Trump, IGG!! BTW….capitalizing in a blog is an effort to EMPHASIZE your thought. A little further education for you…..I would suggest you seek a whole lot more.
April 6th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
Wow! I am always amazed at people like Iggy who do not have a complete thought of their own and attack others instead. Igg…give us YOUR (that was an attempt at emphasizing my thought…I know it shoudn’t be capitalized – this is for the slower folks in the audience) opinion. And, it is quite clear that she wasn’t blaming DUI on the transportation system, but merely pointing out that those folks who drive for many hours every single day on MOST of this country are more LIKELY to have an encounter with a driving while intoxicated incident – especially after dinner with friends, etc. Trump is truly an abomination to educated folks across this nation.
April 6th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
I agree that Clint should have gone, and Khloe’s personal life should not have been a factor in this TV game show, HOWEVER…
To Jodie: (April 6th, 2009 at 3:03 am)
I’m sorry, but invoking the phrase “there but for the grace of God go I” is complete and utter rubbish!! Deciding to get into a car, drunk, and drive it is NOT God’s decision… it is the individual’s decision! I’m sure she didn’t intend to harm anyone, as you point out, but that’s like firing a shotgun randomly into a group of people, and then later saying “Ooops… I wasn’t aiming at anyone in particular… I didn’t mean for the bullets to actually hit anyone!”. Getting behind the wheel drunk is like playing russian roulette with the lives of everyone else sharing the roads. EVERYONE knows it’s dangerous, so deciding to do it is saying “I’m willing to risk the lives of everyone else on the roads, just so I can save $20 on a cab”. IT IS INEXCUSABLE!
Blaming a lack of public transport is frankly RIDICULOUS! ESPECIALLY for someone in Khloe’s position, who I’m sure could have afforded a taxi! (She could afford to go out and get drunk, right?)
It may have been an inauspicious exit from the Apprentice, but this drunk driver should be down on her knees thanking God that this (unexpected) consequence of her mistake is the worst that actually happened. She might well have ended up in jail having caused a fatality, as so many reckless drivers have. In *this* sense, it is Khloe who might well say “there but for the grace of God go I”, as it was only through God’s grace that she DIDN’T actually cause an accident after choosing to drive drunk.
April 6th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
Sorry, I can’t let this go…
Jodie says: “I do not find a man who cheats and lies to be above one who drinks and drives.”
*I* say: “I’d rather be lied to by Khloe, than have her crash drunkenly into my car while my 3 kids are in the back seat.”
I think Jodie just hates men (perhaps one has cheated on her?), and is an apologist for drunk drivers if they’re women.

Mark Burnett is the master of ‘reality’ gaming. He eliminated those who will not draw viewers. People want to see the tension between Clint Black and Joan Rivers. Therefore he keeps them. He would have kept Rodman as well for as long as possible, same reason. It’s a BS GAME SHOW for heaven’s sake, with the goal of keeping viewers watching. Nothing more.

Still don’t understand how any of the Kardashian daughters became famous. Still don’t care. But I am glad to see that “Celebrity Appearance” is still out there on TV rotting people’s minds. I mean I guess it keeps people off the street for 1 hour a week. Donald Trump needs to find some real work or a real project to do. Or pick up a hobby like golf.
April 8th, 2009 at 12:10 am
Ok, Jon….I will type v e r y s l o w l y so that you can read something and comprehend it all at the same time. I am going to assume that you have above a sixth grade education level, though assuming makes an ASS out of U and ME most of the time. So, here goes again:
I do NOT, never have, never will condone drinking and driving. I am in law enforcement!!! That being said, I have seen and been a part of putting many drunk drivers away, where they belong. If you will read what I wrote, my point was that: Mr. Trump is a bigoted, lying idiot who passes judgment on others that he would let himself slide for. If that isn’t clear enough…..here it is one more time:
1) Drunk Driving BAD
2) Khloe Kardashian is a celebrity who finally stood up when she received her DUI and took responsibility (for once) and studies have shown that EDUCATION is a greater deterrant than punishment when it comes to drinking and driving, which is why MADD and SADD have been so effective, therefore (again, slowly for those who can’t keep up) Mr. Trump booting her NOT for her performance in the activity, but for taking responsibility and doing something about this awful MISTAKE she made, means that he is setting this back and treating her unfairly.
3) If Trump is going to be arrogant and judgmental: get them all! Vincent Pastore, from the previous season of Celebrity Apprentice was arrested and plead guilty to beating his girlfriend in 2005. With the likes of Stephen Baldwin, Dennis Rodman, Gene Simmons, Dennis Rodman, etc., I would imagine their arrest records are quite spectacular.
4) The POINT of Celebrity Apprentice is the charities and the charity that Khloe was working for, which is the Brent Shapiro Foundation for Drug and Alcohol Awareness is a fantastic charity that HELPS individuals clean up their lives, get past, grow and learn from their mistakes and help them to spread the word that it could easily happen to any of us.
Jon, are you honestly going to tell me you have never gone out with friends, not having a sober driving (not thinking you would even need one) then had a couple of drinks over a few hours and thought “I’m OK to drive?” Those people account for 90% of the drunk drivers. Those people are where the danger lies, but they are just human and need to realize….it can happen to them. It can happen to me, it can happen to you. And, people who drive all the time, like where I am from (I spend at least 4 hours a day in my car) begin to feel their car is an extension of them. Heck, I drive 4 blocks down the road to get milk from the store that I could easily walk to. I often think….why did I do that? The fact is….jumping into my car is second nature. Giving people another chance – especially those who are truly remorseful and contrite, is where the learning begins. Judging them the way Mr. Trump did, after Khloe has done everything she is supposed to (and more – read her story) is appalling to me. Now….if you didn’t understand what I am saying this time….you’re just beyond my mental reach.
April 8th, 2009 at 12:24 am
I think Jon is an abusive man who likes to attack women. He clearly has issues with women and is likely someone who needs to be watched, as I believe anyone who assumes that a blogger who shares their opinions about Mr. Trump’s behavior is someone who has been “cheated on” and “hates men” is a man who likely abuses, cheats and hates women. I am mortified every single time I come onto a discussion website and see someone attacking another blogger. If you don’t have your own opinions without trashing others, you’re not very intelligent anyway. Give YOUR opinion – if you don’t have one and need to borrow one, here’s mine: You’re an idiot!
I may not agree with everything Jodie says, but the overall premise of “Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged” is a rule I certainly live by. In this instance, it’s just so difficult to take Donald Trump seriously ever again. He lowered himself by placing himself in a position of judging others by “picking and choosing” the sins he doesn’t agree with today. If everyone were like that, I am quite certain the CBS producers wouldn’t have chosen a bankruptcy filing billionaire who cheats on his wife and family multiple times and sports a seriously bad comb over. I don’t want to put words in her mouth, but I believe, if you actually read ALL of Jodie’s blog, that is exactly what she was trying to say.
April 8th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
To Jodie and Lola:
1) Lola says (quote) “I am mortified every single time I come onto a discussion website and see someone attacking another blogger”, and *then* goes on to say (about me): “he clearly has issues with women and is likely someone who needs to be watched”, “you’re not very intelligent anyway”, and (here’s the kicker!) “You’re an idiot!”…. can you spell hypocrisy, Lola?
2) Lola implies I did not fully read Jodie’s blog and/or did not understand it. Well, I *did* read it… very carefully, and I suggest it is Lola who has not understood a word of what I wrote. The phrase that Jodie used which I took exception to is “There but for the grace of God go I”, which essentially means (in this context), “It could just has easily have been me who was the drunk driver!”. It is this statement with which I heartily disagree.
3) Lola says “Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged” is a rule she lives by. Apart from the fact that this is a TV game show where the whole POINT is to volunteer to be judged in the boardroom, Lola does NOT live by this rule (see my point #1). Anyway, Mr Trump’s infidelity has nothing to do with drunk drivers, and frankly I’m surprised Jodie brought this up, as it is totally off-topic.
3) Jodie says “If Trump is going to be arrogant and judgmental: get them all!”. I agree, and if you had read my post carefully you will see that I prefaced it by saying “Khloe’s personal life should not have been a factor in this TV game show.”, BUT… this has NOTHING to do with making excuses for drunk drivers, which Jodie seems to be doing, and which is what I took exception to (see below)
4) Jodie suggests that lack of public transportaion is a valid excuse for drunk driving. Clearly it is not.
5) Jodie suggests that men who lie are more of a threat than drunk drivers. Clearly they are not, and again, this has NOTHING to do with the topic … evidence that Jodie is misandristic (look it up)
6) Jodie says of “accidentally” diving drunk: “It can happen to me, it can happen to you.” Well, this is my main point: IT CAN NOT HAPPEN TO ME BECAUSE I CHOOSE NOT TO DRIVE WHEN I’VE BEEN DRINKING. Simple as that!
You can dress it up by saying “public transports rotten”, or “I *thought* I was under the limit”, or “It was only a short drive home… I didn’t think it would matter”, or any other justification you care to invent, but the plain truth is that choosing to drive a car while drunk is the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL… not “god’s grace”, nor the roll of a dice, nor any other factor outside of your own control. It is ALWAYS the drunk driver’s fault!
Frankly, I’m surprised that someone who works in law enforcement takes such an apologetic view of people who risk the lives of other drivers because they can’t keep track of how drunk they are.
Shame on you, Jodie!
Furthermore, your sarcastic tone (ie “Ok, Jon….I will type v e r y s l o w l y so that you can read something and comprehend it all at the same time.”) evidences the fact your argument has no weight whatsoever, as you’ve had to resort to cheap tactics to try and solidify your position.
If any of the points I have made are incorrect, please do let me know, but I’d also like an answer to the following very straightforward question:
Jodie, are there any circumstances where a drunk driver should NOT be to blame for their own DUI?
Because so far, your answer seems to be “Yes – If they didn’t know how drunk they were”, or “Yes – If they’d only had a couple of drinks”, or “Yes – If there was no public transport”. Am I wrong?
As for being “beyond your mental reach”? Oh, I’d say I’m definitely WAY beyond your limited reach.

State & federal voting strategy: identify the judicial candidates endorsed by the DUI lawyers, then vote for their opponents.
