Buns, Twists, Updos Big Hair Winners At Golden Globes
Although the lovely Angelina Jolie wore her chocolate brown tresses down in soft waves around her shoulders, she did not win the Golden Globe in her Best Actress Category.
Instead, the honor was won by a gorgeous French Twist wearing Kate Winslett whose buttery blonde tresses were swept up off her face with a stunning side-swept fringe and woven into a sleek traditional French Twist. In fact, Kate won not one but two Golden Globe awards and was glamourous in a black velvety gown with a stunning belt.
Ironically several of the female Golden Globe winners also had their hair coiffed in an array of sleek buns, twists and updos.
Tina Fey who had a personal win as well as a win for her show – 30 Rock, wore her soft brunette tresses in a sleek updo.
Actress Anna Paquin won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series Drama for “True Blood” and she also had her tresses wrapped into an off-the-face sleek bun that was a form of a tight ballerina bun.
Another surprising winner was actress Sally Hawkins, winner Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for “Happy-Go-Lucky. She had a top knot that was a little messy but a perfect compliment for her gown.
While Anne Hathaway didn’t win she also had her hair wrapped into a sleek bun as did presenters Eva Longoria Parker who won for most Glam and Jennifer Lopez who was stunning in a gold gown.
No question, buns, twists and updos won the most nods for hair on the Red Carpet at the 2009 Golden Globes.
