Angelina Jolie And Jennifer Aniston Named Top Beauty Icons Of Decade

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Angelina Jolie And Jennifer Aniston Named Top Beauty Icons Of DecadeAccording to the UK’s Superdrug, who comissioned the research, 3,000 people who were questioned picked Angelina Jolie as the top beauty icon.  Why?  Her famous lips, thick hair and “strong character”.

Those traits made her the envy of those questioned and of course have made her fascinating to watch for people around the world.

Ironically Angelina, who lives with Brad Pitt, was just one notch in the poll above Jennifer Aniston who was married to Pitt before he left her for Angelina.  Of course anyone who follows those three actors already knows about all the drama that has evolved since Brad and Jennifer spit up and he moved in with Angie.

Steve Jebson, Commercial Director for Superdrug, said: ”Angelina Jolie is not a conventional beauty but her strong character shines through her fabulous features to give her a unique standing in the beauty world.”

While many point to her pout as the most beautiful thing about Angie, other love her long and lush hair and her svelte figure.  Others are captured by her unique beauty which is not traditional.

I personally don’t agree with everyone on the top 20 list which includes:

#1    Angelina Jolie
#2    Jennifer Aniston
#3    Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue
#4    Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones
#5    Geordie beauty Cheryl Cole
#6    Scarlett Johansson
#7    Keira Knightly
#8    Beyonce
#9    Liv Tyler
#10  Halle Berry
#11  Kate Winslet
#12 Myleene Klass
#13 Kelly Brook
#14 Nigella Lawson
#15 Kate Beckinsale
#16 Megan Fox
#17 Eva Longoria
#18 Joanna Lumley
#19 Holly Willoughby
#20 Charlize Theron

Superdrug noted that “the message from our stores for 2010 is you don’t have to be a film star or celebrity to be a beauty icon.”

Do you agree with the Top 20 list?  Who do you think is missing or shouldn’t be included in the list?  My thoughts?  Where’s the gorgeous Penelope Cruz or Kate Hudson?  How about Nicole Kidman? And what about some of the ‘Twilight’ stars?  Interesting.  I can understand their choices, but I think they should have extended the list a bit.  Of course that’s just my own private opinion.

Michelle Rodriguez Of Avatar Is Not Crazier Than Anyone Else

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Michelle Rodriguez Of Avatar Is Not Crazier Than Anyone ElseActress Michelle Rodriguez (‘Lost’) was recently on The Bonnie Hunt show right after director James Cameron to promote the film “Avatar” who plays a helicopter pilot in the film.  Bonnie showed a clip of Michelle flying the copter in the film.

Michelle entered the stage by sliding down Bonnie’s two story pole.  She was wearing her very long wavy chocolate brown hair with a long forehead hugging fringe which extended below her eyebrows.  She had on a blue long sleeve t-shirt, red stretch jeans and black books.

She handed Bonnie a golden deer Christams ornament which she had signed for Bonnie’s special auction for a cancer chairty.  Michelle had written on the ornament ‘don’t shoot me, my meat is gamey.’  She started out by thanking Bonnie “for having me on the show.”

Bonnie said “nice to meet you.  It was so funny, cause we were getting ready for you to be on the show and somebody was saying you were so thrilled when James Cameron actually called you because you’re kind of misunderstood in this business.” Continue reading “Michelle Rodriguez Of Avatar Is Not Crazier Than Anyone Else” »

Fergie Haircolor How To

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Fergie Haircolor How ToStacy Ann Ferguson (born March 27, 1975) is better known by her stage name Fergie.  Stacy is famous for her career as an American singer, songwriter, rapper and actress.  She’s also a fashion designer and hair icon.

The female vocalist for The Black Eyed Peas, a hip hop group, Fergie has showcased hair in every imaginable color, length, texture and style.

She is as famous for her ponytails as she is for her braids, sleek straight strands, curls, waves and dreads.  Fergie has been changing up her hair color and style long before Rihanna or Lady Gaga.

One of my favorite Fergie hair looks was on the August 2009 cover of Marie Claire.  She maintained the stunning brunette hair color showing off a slightly darker hue later in the year at the Grammy Nominations Concert in LA on December 2th. Ironically she picked up six nominations along the way with her Black Eyed Peas band mates.

Famed celebrity hair colorist Tracey Cunningham was behind Fergie’s gorgeous hue for the Marie Claire cover and the Grammy Nominations.

For Marie Claire’s cover, which was shot in the Summer months, Tracey created a soft lush brunette base shade with subtle warm honey brown highlights interwoven throughout giving her tresses a sensual sun-kissed look Continue reading “Fergie Haircolor How To” »

Bonnied note “she’s a show business legend, an author, a fashionista, a singer and an actress.  She’s one of my idols.”

Bonnie showed a clip of Miss Piggy’s most recent film ‘A Muppet’s Christmas, Letters To Santa’ which Bonnie pointed out was Miss Piggy’s latest piece of work.

Miss Piggy appeared on the show sitting next to Bonnie and looked very fashionable wearing her famous long blonde hair sleek and stick straight.  Continue reading “Miss Piggy Straightens Her Platinum Blonde Hair” »

James Cameron Says Avatar Message Is Misinterpreted

James Cameron Says Avatar Message Is Misinterpreted

James Cameron With Sigourney Weaver (Grace) On Avatar

James Cameron Says Avatar Message Is Misinterpreted

James Cameron recently appeared on The Bonnie Hunt Show to discuss his new movie, “Avatar”.

Bonnie asked the famous director, who briefly donned 3D dark glasses “where did this come from inside your head?  This was in your head.  What the heck is going on in there?”

James said “We’ve been trying to figure that out for a long time.”  He continued “as a kid I loved science fiction.  I still love science fiction.

Everything from watching those old Ray Harryhausen movies to creates.  As a kid I didn’t understand how that was done.  It just mesmerized me.

I wanted to do a story that would put you back into that childlike state of seeing something you don’t really understand how it was done, you don’t really care to understand.

It’s almost like magic.  Not that there’s magic in the movie per se.  You go to another planet, you have this grand adventure, you have this great love story.” Continue reading “James Cameron Says Avatar Message Is Misinterpreted” »
