Blonde, beautiful and sassy Taylor Michel Momsen was born a Leo, July 26, 1993, in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.   The baby blonde tresses actress and model portrays the character of Jenny Humphrey on the The CW television series Gossip Girl.

Taylor is well-known for having an edgy rocker chick style with matching edgy hair.  She has a huge cult following with teen girls the same age as the 15 year old Taylor.

The media has called her the new “It Girl” because of her youth, beauty, style, great hair and attitude.

There have been lots of media buzz about Taylor, specifically related to her very thin frame which has led to speculation about potential eating disorders.  Taylor and her camp have all denied the rumors although they pop up from time to time.

The beautiful blonde Taylor says she doesn’t “feel pressure to be skinny”.  She told reporters at the Diesel xXs Rock & Roll Circus in Brooklyn, New York “I mean, I’m just kind of naturally thin. My mom’s really thin, and I’m tall. Good genes.” The 5′ 8″ actress, told reporters she doesn’t workout.

The up and coming actress began acting professionally at the age of 3, with a national commercial for Shake ‘N’ Bake. Then the budding beauty nabbed a role in The Prophet’s Game.

In 2000 Taylor got the role of Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Two years later she got parts in two more motion pictures: Hansel & Gretel, in which she played Gretel, and Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams, in which she played Alexandra, the President’s daughter.

Taylor’s career came to a halt for over three years until she got the lead role in the never-aired The WB series Misconceptions.

In 2002, Taylor recorded “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” & “One Small Voice” featuring Myra & Camille Winbush for School’s Out! Christmas.   Taylor appeared in the 2006 film Saving Shiloh and as Molly in the 2007 Walt Disney Pictures film Underdog.

Taylor’s character of Jenny Humphrey in the CW television series Gossip Girl is based on the book series by Cecily von Ziegesar.

n June 2008, at the age of 14, Momsen signed to IMG Models.  On October 22, 2008, it was reported that Taylor was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after being hospitalized for a severe throat infection.[

Taylor, who has become known for her rocker-chick look, has said that Garbage (band) and Joan Jett are among her favorite artists.

Although a Gossip Girl spin off is in the works, insiders believe that it will not involve Jenny Humprey or Taylor.
