Penelope Cruz Sánchez (born April 28, 1974 in Spain) made a name for herself in the US when she appeared in the film Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise and then became the other half of his celebrity couple (after Nicole before Katie).
The beautiful raven haired Penelope took the media world by storm.
Penelope has been nominated for two Golden Globes, SAGs, BAFTAs and an Academy Award. She won critical acclaim for her roles in Blow and Bandidas. She was nominated for an Academy Award in Volver.
Penelope’s celebrity hair twin is actress Krysten Ritter who grew up on a farm in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania.
Krysten was “discovered” by Elite Model Management in her hometown mall.
Her unique look earned her modeling success in cities including New York, Milan, Paris, Barcelona, and Tokyo as well as roles in over 20 national and international Television Commercials.
In 2001, Krysten met her manager and quit modeling in order to focus her time and energy into acting, and training.
Her strong dramatic and comedic acting abilities, as well as her extensive training, natural instincts and focus, have already caught the attention of many people in the industry.
From her initial success in modeling she slowly worked her way into acting. She became best known to fans for her role on TV’s cult favorite - Veronica Mars.
She played Ashton Kutcher’s girlfriend in What Happens In Vegas and the goth girl at the front desk in 27 Dresses who winds up having Katherine Heigl’s character - Jane - as her bridesmaid and wedding planner.
The twenty-something actress does not make her actual birthday public.
Krysten has been generating new buzz with her upcoming film - Confessions Of A Shopaholic - where she co-stars with Isla Fisher, Hugh Dancy and Joan Cusak.
